Hello and thank you for coming by my blog today.
I needed a masculine birthday card today, so I remembered the little stamp set I recently purchased and paired this with some patterned paper. I have mentioned before that I am a big fan of using patterned paper to make cards for men.
I die cut the label first, and then did the copper heat embossing of the leaf, which is labeled as a poinsettia bract. I went over with green pigment inks, sometimes using generation stamping to get further depth in the leaves. In addition to the leaf and owl images, there is a tiny branch.
I distressed the edge of the label and colored in the owl with a light brown marker.
Supplies: Rubber Stamp Tapestry Deep Winter Morning, Avery Elle Pigment inks Celery, Lemongrass, Kraft, Versamark Ink, Recollections Copper Embossing powder, patterned papers from my stash, Technique Tuesday Little Sentiments, Memento Ink, Spectrum Noir marker
Thanks so much for taking a look at my card today!

Oh, Heidi, what a sweet little owl, and I love the leaves around him. You've used a great layout and wonderful DP, and I love your masculine card. It's one I always struggle with...but not you! Hugs, sweet friend!
Great use of the DP to frame your owl. He is a lovely stamp!
