Chinese Lanterns

A couple years ago, we had some Chinese Lanterns growing in the garden as weeds.  That was a fun surprise, although they have not come back again.

I used colored pencils on this beautiful stamp.  It was such a lovely day yesterday, I was able to sit outside with a few pencils to color.  How is the weather where you are?

Supplies:  Power Poppy Sunny Day stamp set, Sentiment is from Simply Camellias, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Prismacolor pencils , My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose 6x6 Paper pad.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I am happy to participate in the Power Poppy Power and Spark Cozy Crafty Coloring challenge and The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

This is so pretty and I love how you colored the Chinese lanterns! Love that little sentiment too with the nice fonts! I'd love to be outside coloring or reading, but they're doing sewer upgrades about 100 yards from my house and the noise and dust are unimaginable :(

Hi Heidi, a pretty card, love the colouring on Kraft card. Weather down under is hot, early spring heatwave 25C today with 29C tomorrow, we usually don't get this hot until mid December... have a wonderful weekend... Megan

Oh my goodness is this gorgeous, lovely coloring, looks great on the kraft! Lovely Autumn touch to the whole card!!
IT IS TOO HOT for this time of year, they keep saying we are having July in September, I don't want it, I am going to be so bummed if we go from summer to winter and not have much of a fall season :(

Beautiful work on colouring on your kraft paper. Your colouring really makes your card pop.

Weather here, in Southern Ontario, is a scorcher. It is in the high 80's and us supposed to be like that throughout the weekend.

Your chinese lanterns look beautiful! And so cheerful with the pops of yellowy orange on the Kraft. How fun to be able to sit outside and colour too. Thanks so much for joining us at Power Poppy this month!

What a wonderful job you've done with the colouring pencils- I find them really difficult.

Lovely card! I see we have used the same stamp. It took me awhile to figure out pencils were a good way to color on kraft.
