Power Poppy - Chinese Lanterns - Sunny Harvest Stamp set

I have been eyeing the Power Poppy stamps sets all year.  I finally picked up two sets during the Black Friday sale.  I just love what I got, and the sweet personal touch in my order.

I decided to participate in this month's challenge, which is to use any of the challenges from this year.  I did two off the list: Pencil Me In (color with pencils) and Hang Some Paper (use at least three patterned papers).

Supplies:
Power Poppy Sunny Harvest Stamp set
Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Derwent Inktense Pencils (Sun Yellow, Poppy Red, Tangerine, Apple Green)
Distress Ink Antique Linen
My Mind's Eye Sweetest Thing - Tangarine 6x6 paper pad
Watercolor paper

Stampin Up Wishing You 2006 Stamp set

I created these cards using my Versafine Ink pads and embossing over this with sparkle embossing powder.  It was really fun and the photos do not show give the sparkle justice.  This stamp set has a nice verse to stamp on the inside of Christmas cards too.

Supplies:

Stampin Up Wishing You 2006 stamp set
Versafine Pigment ink: Smokey Grey, Onyx Black
Recollections Sparkle Embossing Powder
DCWV Linen Closet paper pad (top photo)
My Mind's Eye Christmas Home paper pad (botton photo)
distressed with Antique Linen ink
Darice Snowflake embossing folder

Silhouette Bells

I tried a new technique for this card. I smooshed different colors of pink, lavender and blue distress inks on my craft sheet.  I sprayed just a bit of water onto it.  Then I used this as a stamp pad to pick up ink onto my stamp.  This took just a little trial and error to get the right amount of water (3 spritzes for me with my mini mister.)

This is a small card, just 4.25 by 3.25 inches.

Supplies:

Hero Arts Silhouette Bells
Distress inks
Watercolor paper
Hero Arts CL342 Sentiment set
Versafine Onyx Black ink

Pink and Grey color combo Christmas Cards

I was able to make two new Christmas cards this morning. I think I am getting much closer to the amount that I will need this holiday season.  I think it is fun to work on them in the summer when there is no pressure at all!

I created a sheet of patterned paper with my snowflake stamp set and then cut it in two to create two similar cards.

Supplies:

Hero Arts CL622 Designer Snowflakes Set
Hero Arts CL342 Sentiment (sending warm fuzzies)
Lawn Fawn Snow Day stamp set (You Warm My Heart)
Avery Elle pigment inks: Fog, Silver Fox, Raspberry and Pixie
Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Recollections Grey Kraft cardstock
American Crafts Texture Cardstock in Pink
EK Success Snowflake, circle punches
EK Success Snowflake Border punch (positive and negative)
Spellbinders circle nestabilities

Inkadinkado Sketchy Sailboat

This water was made using a brush stroke "dry on dry" technique that I learned in a class at Craftsy called Watercolor Cards Made Simple.

The sailboat was stamped with a simple watercolor stamping technique where you ink up the stamp, then spritz a very fine mist of water on it before stamping.

Supplies:
Inkadinkado Sailboat Sketch stamp
Gina K Designs stamp set
Versamark ink
Clear embossing powder
Distress inks: Broken China, Faded Jeans
Canson XL 140# watercolor paper

Fast & Easy Card - Gina K Wildflowers

I have not had much time or inspiration to stamp and participate in blog challenges until just lately.  I had the background stamp out to work on this Shadow Stamping challenge over at Artsy Inkers, so when I saw this challenge for Fast and Easy, I thought it would be the perfect one to keep working with as this card idea only takes a few minutes!

Supplies:

Gina K Designs Wild Flowers Stamp set illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger
Hero Arts Harlequin Shadow Background stamp
Avery Elle Pigment inks in Sea Glass and Sugar Plum
