Hello and thank you for coming by my blog. I have something different to share today.
I am going to be in the car quite a bit this week for the holiday- going to and fro. Plus, there may be some downtime between holiday gatherings, so I though I would stamp some images to color on the go. In all the years I have been stamping, I have never done this before!

I got these paper pads for Christmas last year and have not used them much. I have always liked Bristol paper for stamping and I know they are good for coloring that involves just a little water. The sketch pad is light weight paper we wouldn't usually use for stamping, but I recently discovered how fun it is to use colored pencils on that paper (it is slightly textured.)

I stamped a variety of images with archival ink - I know it will work with pencils and watercolor. Some pages I just stamped one image, but I try to stamp two per page. I usually do that when coloring so I can use one image for practice and color choices.
My Global Art Materials pencil case holds up to 120 pencils (3 per slot, mine is not full, I will say that the thicker pencils are harder to fit 3 in a slot). It holds all my pencils (all are by Derwent) - regular Coloursoft, watercolor, Inktense and a few Metallic watercolors. (I hope to get a gift card for Christmas so I can choose a few more colors of the Inktense and Coloursofts, since you can buy individual colors.)
I also am bringing along a few gel pens (white, black, glitter and gold), my waterbrushes (can't find the cap for one!) and my nifty pencil sharpener. That is a small and neat pile that will fit in my purse or a small tote.

Oh now that is a perfect sized pad for images!! I love this idea and have not tried it out before, but I love this idea! Hope we'll be able to see your finished works sometime! Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving week with safe travels my friend! HUGS
Yes, I do, and I'll be posting my lil travel kit in a couple of weeks before I head to California for Christmas. Thanks so much for sharing your travel kit, I find it fascinating what crafty things crafter like to take along.
We will see how many I get done and which ones I like! Sometimes I am just practicing, but I will try to make a note of it when I share a project from this notebook! Thanks for the nice comment!

Oh, you're one addicted stamper, aren't you? LOL. Great idea to take smaller sized supplies with you. I don't travel with stamping supplies but I am interested in seeing what you do.
Hi Heidi, love the little book full of stamps ready to go, I took images and pencils to colour while travelling and spending a week 12hrs from home, I think I coloured one in the whole week! I packed my stuff in a 2ltr lunch box, the paper sat flat inside and the pencils neatly on top, with sharpener rattling around on top! Have a lovely week travelling and visiting your loved ones... This is the perfect travel take along. Yes, I have done the same only taking paints and supplies takes up a bit more space and I have a rolling studio I take which I love. I so enjoyed my visit here.

That paper pad is a great size for images to color. When you go to use them you can trim them down or use die cut shapes. What a great travel kit.
I try hard to not travel because home is where all the good stuff is. When I visit my parents I take a bunch of stuff since my mom always wants to play along.
Looks like you are all set with your traveling supplies. I have not traveled with any of my cardmaking supplies only cross-stitching and crochet projects. Safe travels and good luck in coming home with images for more cards :)
I rarely get to travel, and when I do it's not in car, unless it's just to family, so not often, however after Christmas I usually go to my sisters and I frequently take art/craft supplies like you've taken, and sometimes do it, and sometimes not!! 😄 Depends what else is on.
