Happy New Year - Ballerina Best Wishes Card (and a sale!)

🎈 Happy New Year!🎈

Welcome 2017 and I have the pleasure of announcing the new theme for the Just for Fun Rubber Stamps Janaury Challenge!
(Also, read till the end of the post for a big sale announcement!)

I think you are going to love that is is a "Free For All."  Even better, there is a gift certificate up for grabs and while you get an extra entry if you use JFF stamps, you do NOT have to use them to enter the prize drawing.  I really hope you will hop on over and enter the challenge!

Here is my inspiration project for this challenge.

I truly love this image. I have colored her up a bunch of times in my sketchbook and I think you will be seeing her in future projects too.  This time, I stamped the ballerina on watercolor cardstock and colored with watercolor pencils and blended.  I wanted more texture and more intense color, so I added regular colored pencil over top.

The background is two simple steps.  Just sponge color on, put a stencil over top and sponge a different color on. It always turns out pretty.

Supplies: Just for Fun Rubber Stamps Degas Fluffing the Tutu, Just a Note Word Block, Versafine Onyx black ink, Dewent watercolor and Coloursoft pencils, Heidi Swapp stencil, Distress inks Bundled Sage and Tumbled Glass

Remember I said there was a sale announcement? Here it is, a really big sale! No code needed! JFFstamps.com

She is lovely and like the extra touches you gave her with the pencil on top... You know I don't know if I have used a stencil in that way before, will have to try and remember that one :)

Your background is really intriguing. Your colouring is done very well and makes the dress just pop against your pretty background.

Oh wow I just LOVE your card design here Heidi!! The image is so pretty and I love how you've softened the look to your design with the faded stenciling too! Wishing you lots of happiness and creativity for 2017 my friend! HUGS
