Hello! You might have seen a post I wrote planning for some of the obscure holidays this month. It is Hot Tea Month, and since I needed a get well card for a family member, I decided to combine those.
I colored my teacups with alcohol markers and added accents with gold and glitter gel pens. The embellishments are sticky gems over top of sequins.
When I was coloring, I had a patterned paper pad in mind and then I used a sketch to arrange the papers.
On the inside of my card, I stamped the image again with light blue ink and stamped my sentiment right on top. I usually write my message over the image, but you can still see it.
Supplies: Just for Fun Rubber Stamps Stamptangle Stacked Tea Cups, Sentiments 3 Unmounted Sheet, Memento ink, Spectrum Noir markers, Gelly Roll Stardust gel pen, Uniball Gold gel pen, DCWV Linen Closet matstack, embellishments from my stash
I would love to participate in the following challenges:

Wonderful comforting card Heidi.
I love this, it's so clean and warm and feels inviting somehow. I love the colours you chose to work with. Thanks for playing with us at Sketch Saturday Claire DT
Impressed by your use of this sketch. Sometimes the sketches look so blah, but you have turned blah into engaging. The fact that the focal image is tea cups isn't lost on me either. One of my fave topics.
I love your design and the patterned papers you used match perfectly with the coloring on the teacups. What a cute and sweet little focal!! Great take in the challenge, thanks so much for playing along with us this week over at the Mod Squad.

Wow! So many wonderful things here! First off, I love the idea of looking at obscure holidays as a source of inspiration for projects! I'll have to try this. And then the card itself is simply lovely! The gems on top of the sequins was a really great idea and I love how you made the inside pretty, too. You did a great job on this and I'm so glad you shared your charming work with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
I really like how you did the inside of the card. That's very clever. I love the quirkiness of the stack of teacups. I know this card would have me feeling better in no time.
