I have been having fun making some Valentines from non-Valentine sets. This one will be going off to a nephew.
I colored the image with colored pencils and die cut that panel. I heat embossed the matching sentiment on dark orange cardstock. I also cut some hearts out and embossed them just to make it look a little more Valentine-y.
There is an imperfection in this card (the bear is not quite level!), but it really is only noticeable in the photo, not as much when you have the card in hand. So, I decided to still post it and I definitely am still going to send it! Not every card has to be exact! I hope no one out there in the blogosphere thinks so!
Supplies: Stamps MFT Rooting for You stamp set , Paper Echo Park Homegrown 6x6 pad, Gina Marie X Stitched circles, Gemini heart dies, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.
I’d love to enter this card into WordArtWednesday’s Anything Goes challenge.
Thanks for visiting today! Have a crafty weekend!

Super cute design and for any age or gender.
I love this, you make such gorgeous cards using great images...a whole bunch...xx
Congrats on your SSS win too first of all, and what a cute card for your nephew! I don't see the bear not being level at all. His head is straight, so if you leveled his feet, his head would look like it's tilting sideways! Fun card regardless, and your nephew will love that you made a special card just for him!
Such a cute Valentine design. Your nephew will love this. And the bear is perfect.
I struggle with Valentine's Day cards - especially for boys/men, and I think it's a great idea to use non-Valentine's sets/images to make those cards for the men in our lives! Your bear image is adorable, and I thought you made him a little off level on purpose to give him a cute "aw shucks" look! And the hearts and greeting you added make this perfect to let your nephew know you are thinking of him on Valentine's Day. I'm sure he will love it!
Such a stinkin' cute card. Lovely layout. This little guy looks like DH. His disc in his back went out again and when he stands up straight his right foot is an one of the floor. For both feet to be on the ground, his body is crooked.
I didn't even notice that the bear was not level at all, even after you said, isn't it funny how we notice things more than others do, I think everyone of my cards is off a little bit but then I tell myself it is handmade so alls good :) I just love the way you colored him, you do a great job with blending your pencils. Very clever to use non valentine items to make a great valentine card!
Oh just so cute Heidi, lovely colours and design, and a sweet image, Kate x x
Maybe the weight of the carrots is tilting him? Either way hes adorable and so is your card.
Oh my, I love Cat's response! I didn't even notice he was tilting until you pointed it out - and that's a good thing! I was admiring your coloring skills and how sweet he is - and then my eyeballs went to all the other wonderful places like the paper choice and the sweet little heart! I adore this! I'm sure your nephew will, too :)
The bear looks such fun and what a fabulous card for your nephew. Great design and never even noticed the adorable bear should be level x.
Oh this card is so cute! Your bear looks fine to me. it looks like he is made that way. I love how you made this card to look like a valentine!
I think your little bear looks so excited about the carrots he's got! :) Really cute and different idea for Valentine's Day! I love it!
Cute little guy :) Super cute card!
This card is totally adorable and I think the lil fella SHOULD be just like you stamped him. Just go down any greeting card aisle and look at all the unlevel characters. It's quirky and cute. Own it, girl! xoxo
