Hello! I know it is Valentine’s Day but I am here with a new Christmas card for 2020. I have used the same stenciling technique to add depth as this post, but with a different style stencil.
The stencil was inked with a few colors of blue Distress Oxide inks (I think it was Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers) and with the stencil still in place, I spritzed it with water to get the look of snowfall. Use a fine tip black marker, I added depth and shadows throughout the entire background.
I created snow hills with Frantic Stamper dies and textured white cardstock and added this sweet country snowman from Deep Red stamp to finish my scene. The sentiment is from a very old Hero Arts set.
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh wow Heidi! Your winter scene is just brilliant! Love the way you've put together the die cut trees with the snow hills and snowman!! The blue background is so pretty! HUGS
Your stencil work really makes a pretty background and that whimsical little snowman is the cutest with the bluebird on his snout! Very pretty card!
Cute scene and so well designed.
Love the winter scene with the fab trees and snow hills.x
Sweet snowman and lovely sky. Thanks for visiting my blog - I would never have tried the moving card without doing it at a class!
Love how you created the effect of snow by spritzing your oxide ink background. And the shadow effect you added to the trees with the marker looks amazing! Love the scene you created as well.
love the added texture Heidi. Great card.
You do such a great job with that technique, the snowman is too cute and I love your snow hills!
Great depth to the background and what a stunning background it is. Adorable snowman and his little friends x.
This is super cute. I don't live in an area where we ever get any snow, so I do tend to forget that people are still making snowmen. I'm so removed from it out here in the warm Nevada desert. What an adorable card, my talented friend.
