Daffodil Birthday Cards

It may be a little late for Daffodils to be blooming in the garden, but as one of these two birthday cards is a belated card, I think they will work just fine!

(Click on photos for larger image.)

I colored this *most beautiful* stamp with alcohol markers.  I first did in in traditional colors, but then I wanted to try to represent a version of a white and pink daffodil I have.  (I only have one or two, they were more expensive bulbs.)

I don't have many alcohol markers yet, but the pinkish one from the flesh tones set worked for my flowers and it turned out pretty.

Supplies: Gina K Designs Sending Love and Happy Birthday to You stamp sets, Memento Jet black ink (for alcohol ink coloring), Versafine Onyx Black ink (for sentiments), Spectrum Noir markers, Spellbinders oval dies, Gina K cardstock Wild Dandelion and Ocean mist, other items from my stash

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!  I hope to see you again soon!

Two very pretty cards!
The first one in the traditional daffodil shades is lovely...but the second in those soft and pretty pink shades is my fave. I think just because I am a gardener and think that would be a lovely daf to own!

Beautiful cards Heidi! Daffodils are such happy flowers I think is is hard to not smile back at their images any time of year. I really like the pink one. It's uniqueness makes me stop and think about how special things are that are different. Thanks for sharing.

What pretty clean floral designs! A beautiful use of soft colour in both of them!

Oh, Heidi, what beautiful daffodils, and I love both colors. Your coloring is lovely, and I especially love the matting of the second one (since I am so partial to blue - even though you wouldn't know that from my stamping). Beautifully done, sweet friend! Hugs!
