Hello and welcome! When I saw that Just for Fun Stamps challenge for this month was a 50's theme, I immediately thought of using these car stamps, along with a paper pack that has some polka dots and retro patterns. I originally was going to do this for Father's Day cards, but I missed that boat and now I need birthday cards!
(Click on photos for larger image.)
I made two versions of the card. I bet cardmakers who read blogs will like the CAS one, but I am going to use the more busy one to give to the Birthday Boy, because I have noticed a lot of people who aren't online really don't follow trends and do like patterned paper too! What do you think?
I did add glossy accents to the headlights and windshields.
This is how I stamped the insides of the cards. I used generation stamping on the flags. I think it finishes off the card in a fun way and you have to love that font!
Supplies: Crafty Secrets Car Classics stamp set, Memento black ink, alcohol markers, My Mind's Eye Hootenanny paper pad, Glossy accents, Darice embossing folder.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Very nice card!!!
Very nice card!!!
What nice 50's cards. I really like the car, and yes even pattern paper. I have hoards of the stuff.
Being an older car enthusiast, I like both cards! I own this stamp set and wouldn't trade it for anything! Great masculine cards, and I'd be hard pressed to choose a favorite! Those old coupes just rock my world :)
Two very cute cards. I like patterned paper but I also like embossed backgrounds so like both!! Thank you for sharing at the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps June 50's Challenge.
Oh, Heidi, I love both of these, and that car is fabulous! And what a great inside greeting! What a great way to do this 50's theme! Hugs, sweet friend!
I seem to be constantly 'running' out of masculine cards, probably because I love making feminine floral designs so much lol. Thanks for the prompt and inspiration!
I love both cards. The embossed one is clean and classy and the pattern one is fun like a birthday card ought to be. Thanks for joining in the Just For Fun challenge. Look forward to seeing more of your creations.
Hi Heidi, your cards are great love the CAS one for it's gorgeous embossing, which I do way to little of;-) I like to make cards that suit the person receiving it and I love patterned paper, some times the more the better. Have a great week... Megan
They are both terrific, but you know me, I like my paper :) great idea with the glossy accents! Have a great week ahead
