Trillium Hand-Stamped Card

I’m glad you stopped by today, because I made a card with one of my very favorite flowers - Trillium!  These remind me of walks in the woods with my grandmother.  She knows what all the wildflowers are called!

I colored the image with alcohol markers.  White flowers can be tricky. I decided to add light grey shading to the interior just along the lines, yellow on the stamens, and left the rest uncolored.  Since there are so many leaves and I added sky, it looks complete to me.

Although I think it would be unlikely that there would be a butterfly by a Trillium in early spring, when they bloom, it is so pretty and gives me an opportunity to add a pop of color.

Supply list:  I Brake for Stamps Trillium, Memento black ink, spectrum noir and copic alcohol markers, My Mind’s Eye 6x6 paper pad, cardstock from my stash.

I would love to enter the Double D Butterfly challenge and the Daily Marker’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

I love how flowers can bring back memories of precious time spent with loved ones - like your grandmother :) Beautiful coloring, and I love the way you left the flowers white!

Coloring white can be complicated but you pulled it off very nicely. Love these blooms and the dark green leaves and blue sky really set those white petals off.

So pretty, it is hard to color white but you did a great job and I do love your splash of color with the butterfly!

How very beautiful. You did wonders with the white trillium, which happens to be my provincial flower. Love the blue around the edges.

I have not heard of these flowers before, but they sure look amazing especially how you've colored this image up! You've done a great job of show-casing it too on your card design! Beautifully done and a great way to remember grandma! :) HUGS
