Coffee Cup Christmas Card set

It is the 25th of the month, so it is time for the Rudolph Days challenge!  I knew that I would need to make a card set this month in order to meet my monthly goal.  I also decided that I will keep a tally of total Christmas cards for the year at the bottom of each Christmas card post this year.

I had a new stamp set I wanted to work with. I stamped the coffee cup in 5 different colors, added the cup outline in black, and then created a different card layout for each one.

The first card uses some cool patterned paper, a punched snowflake and gems.

Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes!

I really love this red, white and black card.  I embossed the background with an old Martha Stewart folder, and used little coffee beans instead of berries by the holly, and used some Wink of Stella pen to make them sparkle!

Inskpirational - Glitz a Strip challenge

This pink card is home for my green cup. The papers were from a magazine. Boy! They are thin and shiny and a bit hard to work with.  It is a good thing they are pretty.  I had to heat emboss the sentiment because the ink wouldn’t dry on this paper.

This was actually the first design I did.  I used Nuvo drops to create my own sparkly berries.

This final design is classic Christmas!  I used a sketch here and decided to mat in green to add a more Christmassy feel.  I love how it turned out with the sparkle of some silver gems.

There were plenty of sentiments in the set and I was able to stamp inside all the cards.

Supplies: Joy Clair Christmas coffee stamp set, various inks, BoBunny Altitude 6x6 paper pad, Heidi Swapp Christmas paper, Gina Marie Wonky Stitched Ovals and Tag dies, EKSuccess Snowflake punch.

Thank you for visiting!  I hope you will have time to leave a comment to let me know you were here. Please consider following my blog, and I am happy to visit and follow you as well.

Slothie Coffee Card

I am squeezing one more coffee card into the mix for the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop today!  After this, I am going to do my best to finish commenting on them, but there are over 1000 entries this time! WOW!

I colored my CUTE sloth-in-a-mug and then trimmed it out to pop up over my patterned paper. A sentiment and a few enamel dots finish off my clean and simple card.  I don’t always do clean and simple, but it really is fun to do.

Supplies: Art Impressions Sloth-Some stamp set, Memento and Versafine black inks, paper is a scrap and I don’t know which pad it was, Recollections enamel dots, Frantic Stamper Stitched Edge dies.

Thank you for visiting!  I hope I will see you again soon!

Better Latte Than Never! - Coffee Cards

Hello!  Hope you have had a nice week.  I, unfortunately continue to have some dental problems.  My first crown didn’t fit right, and they couldn’t adjust it because 3 shots of the numbing stuff didn’t work.  So they sent it out again. So the moral of the story is, brush and floss and do everything you can to avoid having dental work!  Lol.

I do have another card for the Coffee Blog hop.

Supplies: Gina K Designs Coffee Therapy, Just for Fun Rubber Stamps coffee ring and sentiment, Versafine Black ink, Gina K Tranquil Teal and Tangerine inks, Gina K Tranquil Teal cardstock, Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die, Copper Nuvo drops

Thanks for visiting!  If you are a new visitor on the Hop, please leave a comment to let me know you were here. I would also LOVE it if you would choose to subscribe to my blog.  I always do my best to visit your blog, as long as I can find you.

Happy Stamping!

Pumpkin Spice Coffee Card

Hello and Happy Saturday!  This card has been in my brain for a few weeks and this morning I finally had a chance to make it a reality.

I used several different stamp companies to get this design.  The coffee cup was stamped on a Distress Oxide Antique Linen background.  I then stamped a tiny pumpkin over top and colored it.  The Pumpkin was stamped with orange ink on some yellow cardstock and then I added the sentiment over top.

I had some scraps of gold and green cardstock in my box, so I die cut some leaves from it and then arranged it all over my stamped woodgrain background.  All the green cardstock was sponged with some gold ink.

I am really happy with this card and I hope the photo shows the pretty gold details.

Supplies: Just for Fun Stamptangle pumpkin and coffee cup, Hero Arts Woodgrain Background Stamp, Penny Black Spice of Life stamp set, Inkadinkado Creepy Lane stamp set, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Gina K Dark Chocolate and Tangerine inks, Spellbinders Leaves dies, Sizzix Embossing folder, Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink.

I would love to enter The Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop, SimonSaysStamp’s Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes, Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes and Dies R Us Trees and Leaves Challenges.

Thank you for visiting today!  If you are new, I sure hope you will leave a comment so I know you were here.  And please consider subscribing!  I always do my best to visit and see what you are making too.  Have a great weekend!

Tea Themed Friendship Card

Hello everyone!  Today is the last day of the Coffee Lover’s Blog hop.  I have made 6 projects for the hop; a really nice addition to my stash, which was a little depleted recently.

This last card was quick and simple, but fun to make. I used a sketch and some very sweet paper from my most recent patterned paper pack.  I have found Tuesday Morning is a great place to find varieties of patterned paper.

Supplies:  Close to My Heart Just Treats stamp set, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Avery Elle Kraft Pigment ink, Hero Arts Butter Bar and Soft Pool ink, Gina K Innocent Pink ink, Gina Marie X Stitched Rectangle die, Bo Bunny Early Bird 6x6 paper pad, Enamel heart is Heidi Swapp, Twine is American Crafts, Tombow Markers to color in the letters.

I would love to enter Tuesday Morning Sketches this week!

Thank you for visiting!  I appreciate all the comments and especially subscribers, old and new!  I look forward to visiting your blogs, too!

Retro Coffee Lady

Hello everyone!  It is not that cold today, but I am freezing!  Just can’t warm up.  So as I was going through my blog feed, I got a third cup of coffee warmed up. I almost NEVER drink 3 cups. It is usually 2 cups, with the second one unfinished.

I am having fun with the Coffee Lover’s Blog hop.  I do want to thank everyone for their kind comments and encouragements.  There are a few of you on platforms I do not have a login, so although I have been viewing your lovely cards, I haven’t been able to comment.

I am back with a second card from this same set from Monday’s card. I do love the retro feel of it.

Don’t forget I have a coupon code for I Brake for Stamps.  SAVE10HEIDI gets you 10% off your entire order.  Not just this stamp set.

 Coffee Rubber sheet

I paired the images with primary colors, kraft paper, and polka dots.  (The papers are all scraps from packs I am nearly finished with).  I did add a touch of red glitter glue to the heart on the sentiment, just to jazz it up. I plan to send a little Starbucks gift certificate to a teacher inside this card.  It is Teacher Appreciation Week!

I would also like to join in the Kat’s Scrappiness Coffee with Mom challenge.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop - Coffee Is My Blood Type

Hello!  I hope you all had a good weekend.  Mine was VERY busy.  We had a dinner party, painted our downstairs hallway, then had church, meetings and activities on Sunday.  So I am kind of glad it is Monday!

Back again with another coffee card for the blog hop.  My card today focuses on this cool sentiment from I Brake for Stamps.  I am on the design team for this company and I think this set is VERY original! I do have a coupon code for you also.

(If you like this stamp set, please use the code SAVE10HEIDI to save 10% on your entire order at the I Brake for Stamps store.)

I stamped with green Versafine ink on kraft paper.  I colored the cup with alcohol markers and die cut out the panel.  After choosing this fun, slightly retro, floral printed paper, I went back to the stamp set for an accent. I thought that the coffee tree looked kind of the shape of a bouquet.

I colored on the stamp with different markers, to represent both ripe and unripe coffee beans, spritzed with water and stamped.

Supplies: I Brake for Stamps Coffee Rubber Sheet, Versafine Olympia Green ink, Tombow water-based markers, Gina K/ThermoWeb double stitched rectangle dies, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, Echo Park HomeGrown 6x6 paper pad.

Thank you for visiting!  If you are new to my blog, I hope you will consider subscribing!  And please leave a comment to let me know you were here!  I always try to visit back!

Have a great day!

Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop - What’s Brewing?

Hello again!  I am still having fun making coffee themed cards for the Blog Hop.  Today, I have one with a couple nice stamps from Just for Fun Rubber Stamps.  For those of you who are new, this is one of the design teams I am on.

This stamp is called Latte Love and it is one of my favorites.  The sentiment is What’s Brewing.  They also have a whole section of coffee, tea and wine stamps that are a bit different than you see elsewhere.

I colored my stamp with alcohol markers, using colors from this patterned paper I wanted to use.  I then added Wink of Stella to the coffee, and Nuvo Drops glitter glue to the heart.

The background is Distress Oxides.  I nearly always coat my cardstock first with a light layer of gesso before I make this type of Distress Oxide smooshed background. I feel like I get better layers when I do this.

Then I just finished the card with the sentiment heat embossed on vellum.

Thank you so much for visiting today!  For new visitors, I hope you will consider following my blog and leaving a comment.

Have a great day!  Stay caffeinated and crafty!

Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop - Spring Anniversary Card

Hello!  Today, I am again playing in the Coffee Lover’s Blog hop for Spring and Summer!

I have been sitting here this morning, drinking my coffee, while 1st, going through my blog reader list.  A lot of you are also playing in the hop, but plenty posting other projects (which is great too!)  Second, visiting back to everyone who commented on my blog in the last 24 hour, thank you!  And 3rd, trying to visit a bunch of projects at the link up.  And there are a lot!

As a funny observation of a blog hop, when you go through hop posts, and you notice the couple people who copy and paste the same, exact comment onto every post.  Lol.

For todays card, I decided to use this “new to me” set.  I was going to make a wedding card to have on hand, but then realized that MY wedding anniversary is coming up and I hadn’t yet made a card.  DH and I both love coffee, so I thought this would be fun.

I used this sketch for the card, then used a scrap of patterned paper to decorate the inside, along with some other stamps from the set.

Supplies: Penny Black You and Me stamp set, Avery Elle Kraft and Truffle Pigment inks, Versafine black pigment ink, Bo Bunny Early Bird 6x6 Paper pad, Corner chomper, gems from my stash.

Thanks for visiting!  If you are new, I hope you will consider leaving a comment, or even subscribing to my blog.  I appreciate the gestures, and always try to visit your blogs as well.

Have a wonderful day!

Tea Time Thank You card - Using Peg stamps!

Hello!  Today, I am playing in the Coffee Lover’s Blog hop for Spring and Summer! This is always such a fun blogging event and I have been looking forward to it.  In fact, ALL my coffee and tea related stamp sets are sitting out on my desk as I write this. 😁

My first card is actually a tea card.  You can participate if you make a coffee, tea (or, I think, even hot chocolate) themed project.  I got out my peg stamps for this, and had so much fun stamping the background.

I then just used a pretty ‘Thank You’ sentiment and die cut that as a layer.  I dug through my embellishments and found this fun butterfly sent by a stamping friend, and thought it finished the card perfectly. I kept this card flat for easy mailing.

Supplies: Rubber Stamp Tapestry A Spot of Tea stamp set, Anita’s Stamps Thank You, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Avery Elle Pigment inks in Sugar Plum, Raspberry, Sapphire, Lemon Grass, Jungle and Mermaid, Gina K/Thermoweb Double Stitched Rectangle dies, other items from my stash.

I would also like to enter the Inkpirational Challenge Tea Photo.  This is why I did a tea card today!

Thanks for visiting!  If you are new to my blog, I hope you will consider leaving a comment, or even subscribing to my blog.  I appreciate this so much, and always try to visit your blogs as well.

Have a wonderful day!

Coffee Lover’s Bloghop #3

Hello stamping friends!  I am back again today to enter a third card into the Coffee Lover’s Bloghop. I have a friend in mind for this card.  She recently told me that she was getting her holiday shopping done early to enjoy December, for once.  I thought this card might be a reminder of her promise to herself to relax a little this holiday season.

I used a stamp set that a received in a RAK from another blogger.  This is a quick card with lots of stamping.  I added a tiny snowflake from another set.

Supplies:  Technique Tuesday Eat Chocolate stamp set, Gina K Mini Wreath Builder stamp set, Hero Art Navy and Soft Sky inks, Gina Marie designs X Stitched circles die, other items from my stash.

Thanks for looking today!  I appreciate your comments, too.

Christmas Cards

Hello again! I have been playing with a Christmas work background stamp and wanted to share two cards I made with it. The first one I decided to use a Tea cup stamp with it to go along with the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop.

I die cut a circle first and stamped on it with white pigment ink.  I then colored my coffee cup tower and fussy cut it to lay over the die cut.

For my second card, I used Distress Oxide to stamp on green cardstock.  These inks really show up nicely over colored papers and I like this color combo with the Fired Brick over Gina K green cardstock.  I stamped out a couple of the poinsettia stamps from Just for Fun onto patterned paper scraps, then cut them out and layered them to make my own embellishment.  A bit of embossed cardstock with gold inked over top finished off the card.

Supplies:  Just for Fun Rubber Stamps Holiday Sentiments Background, Stamptangle Stacked Tea Cups, Poinsettia Flower, Poinsettia Line Flower, Versafine and Memento Black inks, Distress Oxide Fired Brick ink, Avery Elle White Pigment ink, Galaxy Gold pigment ink, Gina Marie Designs X Stitched Circle dies. Sticklers Gold glitter glue

I would also like to enter this in Pixie’s Crafty Workshop Snippets Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by and for all your encouraging comments!  If you are new, please consider following my blog.

Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop - #1

Hello everyone! I always look forward to the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hops.  I love coffee, tea and cocoa, and all the variety of wonderful stamps available for themed cards is fun to see.  So I will be participating a few times, hopefully for this Fall & Winter Hop!

This card was made with a new patterned paper pack I got recently at Tuesday Morning. I was just completely drawn to these wonderful colors. I stamped the coffee cups on the patterned paper, then stamped with brown pigment ink for the little fill-in stamp for the cocoa. I stamped it several times so it would show up over the colored paper.  I trimmed out the cups and the whipped cream and glued them together.

Supplies: Close to My Heart Just Treats stamp set, Versafine Onyx Black in, Avery Elle Kraft Pigment ink, Tombow Water based markers, Sakura Glitter pen, Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangles dies, Bo Bunny Altitude 6x6 paper pad

I combined this challenge with Tuesday Morning Sketches #482.  I rotated the sketch and then used that background paper to mimic the striped portion of th sketch.

Thanks for your visit and kind comments!  If you are new, please consider subscribing to my blog. I love to return blog visits and comments and get to know other cardmakers!
