Power Poppy March Challenge

Hello! I can't believe it is already the last day of March.  I am *just in time* for the deadline of Power Poppy's monthly challenge.  The challenge was a sketch plus the requirement that there be a window with something peeking out.

This is my interpretation of the sketch.

I stamped onto watercolor paper and the colored and blended out with watercolor pencils and a waterbrush.  I then die cut my window with a bird die.  Doing the die cutting first would have been easier!  I inked with distress inks around the edge and then finished everything off with some pretty patterned paper.

I really liked the blue sponging and the blue in the paper - it did wonders to liven this card up!

Supplies: Power Poppy Sunny Harvest Stamp set, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Derwent Watercolor pencils, My Mind's Eye Bluebell 6x6 patterned paper pack, Ranger Watercolor paper, Gina K Designs Bird Die

I would love to submit this project to this challenge:

What a fabulous card, I really like that there is different patterned paper behind the bird, it's so clever!

I really like your card! The blue sponging is so softy and pretty and your reverse diecut bird looks great.

I see you have the Google plus circles. I do not and yet I am most always able to leave a comment on your blog. Only one or perhaps two times I have got the request to join google circles b4 I can leave a comment
I have a friend who has google circles, but her blog prevents anyone who has not joined her circle from leaving a comment. She only has a couple in her circles so only gets one or two comments.

She would like to change her blog to allow anyone to comment like your is set up but does not know how. Do you know how you got yours to take comments from everyone?

Thanks for your help...

Maureen, let me check my settings. I think I have it set up so you have to have a blogger account, but you can use EITHER blogger or google+ to comment. It is not perfectly clear how they are working it, I think the request to join google+ is because of Google and not my blog settings.

This is a real beauty! I absolutely love how you placed the coordinating dsp behind the bird cut-out. What a fantastic look!

Love what you did with the sketch, pretty coloring and I too love sponging around everything as you can tell, it just feels finished that way to me, simple white cards are the hardest for me
