Hello everyone! It is another bright, sunny day here, but there is a chill in the air. I have a wintery card to share today.
I first created a background with Distress inks which I smooshed on my craft mat and added water. I used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves and Faded Jeans and I smooshed my paper into the pool of ink, drying in between layers. I had a scrap of card in my pile, which I think was mixed media paper, so it gave a different look than I would have gotten with watercolor paper.

I then stamped the Trees Background stamp over this with black Versafine Ink. Finally, I cut a strip of white vellum and added a glitter sticker sentiment over top.

Your background is so pretty! It certainly looks like a stern November sky with the bare trees all around! Perfect glittery sentiment to go with this as well! Thanks for sharing! HUGS
Wonderful card Heidi, I love your inking and the tree and branches images, and it's certainly sweater weather...great sentiment, Kate x
This is so lovely! Love the background and the saying!
This card has a big WOW factor for me! I absolutely LOVE every detail! It's stunning!!
Your background is gorgeous, and the black stamped trees look great over it! Great card!!
those trees are wonderful and your sentiment reminds me a bit of crocheting ice yarn.
You have used that stamp so beautifully. I think I own that tree stamp as well, but I love the background you used. And, what a great sentiment.
Love that background Heidi and the black heat embossing over the top is a standout.
You knocked it out of the park with this card. Your background is so beautiful and the tree branches look terrific. I like how you added your sentiment over vellum.
Stunning background and wonderful vibrant colours. The stamping and embossing of the trees look wonderful. Fabulous card X

Your background is just gorgeous, I just don't seem to have the same results when I do my backgrounds, great idea to use the vellum piece for your sentiment so it doesn't take away from your pretty background!
I really love the depth of colour you've achieved. This is gorgeous.
Oh Wow! Look at the colours in your background, what a fantastic card Heidi!
