Sweater Weather - A Wintery Card using Distress Inks

Hello everyone!  It is another bright, sunny day here, but there is a chill in the air.  I have a wintery card to share today.

I first created a background with Distress inks which I smooshed on my craft mat and added water. I used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves and Faded Jeans and I smooshed my paper into the pool of ink, drying in between layers. I had a scrap of card in my pile, which I think was mixed media paper, so it gave a different look than I would have gotten with watercolor paper.

I then stamped the Trees Background stamp over this with black Versafine Ink.  Finally, I cut a strip of white vellum and added a glitter sticker sentiment over top.

Your background is so pretty! It certainly looks like a stern November sky with the bare trees all around! Perfect glittery sentiment to go with this as well! Thanks for sharing! HUGS

You have used that stamp so beautifully. I think I own that tree stamp as well, but I love the background you used. And, what a great sentiment.

Your background is just gorgeous, I just don't seem to have the same results when I do my backgrounds, great idea to use the vellum piece for your sentiment so it doesn't take away from your pretty background!
