Coffee & Tea Lover’s Blog Hop! Day 1: Christmas Tea

Hello!  If you don’t know, today is the start of two special blog events.  The Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop (which totally includes tea and cocoa) and The 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

I have a very unique Christmas image to share with you today. This sweet image is called Christmas Tea.  I think it is so pretty and I know several tea-drinkers who would love to receive it.  And I have a coupon code for it (and more) below!

I added color first with markers and then I added some shading with colored pencils.  Those pencils fit in the tiny spaces very easily.  I then dressed up the image with some glitter glue and glitter pen.

The last step is fussy, but worth it. I cut a mask of the main image so that I could sponge some light blue distress ink around the image. I think that really makes the tea pot and the doily stand out more and just look more elegant.

Supplies: I Brake for Stamps Christmas Tea stamp set, Memento black ink, Gina Marie Wonky Stitched Oval dies, Gina K Designs Red Hot cardstock, other items from my stash.
Save 10% off your entire stamp order at I Brake for Stamps  with code SAVE10HEIDI
Also check out special introductory prices on new release stamps, and great prices on overstocks!

I would also like to enter Double Trouble In Stitches Challenge, where I think I did both the stitches and the caffeinated prompts.

Thank you for your visit today!  Are you a coffee or tea drinker? I drink coffee every morning, but when the weather gets cold, I am very well known for drinking a cup of tea in the afternoon to warm up!

Such a sweet tea set. I love the stitching around the oval too. I've never seen that before. I am a tea drinker, while I love the smell of coffee, I've never acquired the taste. Good luck in the hop.

Hi Heidi,
Love your card! I wanted to stop by and tell you that I didn't use the JC background stamp on my card - I used a little coffee cup from the stamp set and made my own background. Just thought you'd like to know as in your comment you mentioned wondering if it covers the whole card. I don't actually have that stamp so I am not sure if it covers the whole panel. It says in description that it is 4X6 inches. Hope this helps!

such a pretty card! I drink coffee first thing and then again in the mid morning and maybe one more before 4! My coffees are a little different as I use raw cacao, almond milk, organic coffee and add some CBD oil and Turmeric and sometimes...some pumpkin spices!

This is so beautiful! I love that dainty, elegant image and how you colored it. Creating the mask to sponge the background took a lot of patience but was well worth it! Well done!!

What a pretty stitched frame around your beautiful tea image...like how you colored it and chose nice backgrounds for your focal point. Glad you participated in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and glad you shared your card with us at Double Trouble too.
