Cloudy Day card

This cloud challenge was fun because I created a card that is a little out of my comfort zone because of it.  I embossed my patterned paper, then swiped white ink onto the raised clouds.

Supplies:

Gina K Designs Warm Spring Wishes stamp set
Versafine ink Onyx Black
Darice Cloud Embossing folder
Crate Paper DIY Shop 6x6 paper pad
Avery Elle Pigment ink Pure White

Holly Christmas Card

I have a Christmas card to share today.  I heat embossed  the image on watercolor paper and colored it in with Tombow water-based markers and the blending pen.  I went outside the lines, and was not going to use the image.  But then my son casually asked me if I was cutting that one out, so that is what I did!  I will need to thank him later.

Supplies:

GKD Holiday Cheer stamp set
GKD Stately Flowers 5 (sentiment)
Versamark ink
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Clear embossing powder
Tombow water-based markers
Pebbles Home for Christmas 6x6 paper pad
American Crafts glitter ribbon
Cuttlebug embossing folder
gems and cardstock from my stash

Mama Elephant Cup of Wishes CASE

The ModSquad Blog Challenge this week was to CASE (Copy and Steal Everything) another card. I thought this was a good opportunity to visit some of my pins on Pinterest, and I found this card on the Mama Elephant blog.

Here is my version:

I masked the teacup to make a stack of them and masked further to add the flower to each cup.  I colored these with both Pebbles Metallic Chalks and Tombow markers.  I trimmed out the cups.

I did not have the paper used in the pin, so I stamped my own with a background stamp.

I plan to use this as a Valentine.

Supplies:
Mama Elephant Cup of Wishes Stamp set
Hero Arts Love Jar Stamp set (for sentiment)
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Hero Arts Tweed Background Stamp
Gina K Innocent Pink ink
Pebbles Metallic Cream Chalks
Tombow Water-based markers
American Crafts bakers twine
Black and white cardstock from my stash

Watercolor Resist with Leafy Vines and Distress Inks

To make this card, I stamped the Leafy Vines with Versamark ink onto watercolor paper, then added clear embossing powder and heat set.  I smooshed Distress inks on my craft sheet in Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire and spritzed water that had a scoop of Perfect Pearls onto the ink.

I used a paint brush to apply the homemade pearlized watercolors from light to dark.  I allowed the panel to air dry.

I heat embossed the butterfly stamp onto white vellum paper and trimmed it out.  I used a single glue dot in the middle to adhere this.

Supplies:

Hero Arts Leafy Vines
Gina K Designs Warm Spring Wishes (butterfly)
Hero Arts CL342 (sentiment)
Hero Arts Shadow ink Navy
Versamark ink
Distress inks: Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Chipped Sapphire
Watercolor paper
Vellum paper
Light blue cardstock

Purple & Teal Color Challenge - Wild Flowers Card

This card was made for a color challenge - Purple and Teal.  I did not have a teal ink so I mixed two colors of Distress ink - Broken China and Mowed Lawn.  Not only did this get me to teal, but there is also a nice subtle color gradient in those stamps.

Stamps: Gina K Designs Wild Flowers designed by Melanie Muenchinger
Inks: Distress Broken China, Mowed Lawn and Dusty Concord
Embossing Folder: Tim Holtz Fancy Frame and Floral set
