Christmas Cards with Gelli Plate Prints

Hello again!  I decided to use another of my gelli plate backgrounds for Christmas cards. I am definitely behind my goal still, so if anything looks remotely Christmassy, I need to use it for Christmas!

It is SO dreary and rainy here today, so my photo setup by a window wouldn’t work, so these photos are a little off, but the best I could do today.  How is the weather for you?

I used some stamps from Elizabeth Crafts that I colored with pencils and die cut.  I also added some glitter glue to stamps and the hill, but I’m not sure you can see it in the photo.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Gelli Plate!

Hello everyone!  Last week, on zoom, my craft group got together and April from Stampwilly Designs taught us some techniques using our gelli plates.  I have to say, this was a little tricky and I wasn’t sure about my results at first, but the next day when I looked through them, I wanted to keep almost all of the prints to use for cards!

I wanted to find some bold, but pretty stamps to use over top.  The stamps in the I Brake for Stamps Old and New set were perfect for this!

Coffee Is My Blood Type

Hello All!  Long time, no see!  I have been feeling very low-energy lately, so I decided to make a card with one of my favorite, most energizing themes.  Coffee!

I started with a background created with Colorburst powders.  This background is really pretty in person.  It is gloomy today so my camera just didn’t capture the depth of the colors.  I stamped over the background with dark brown Versafine ink with the coffee cup image.

The focal image is one of my favorite stamps.  It just makes me laugh.  This was stamped on a kraft cardstock with brown ink, and then I sponged color around the edge of my oval die.

These stamps are part of I Brake for Stamps Coffee Rubber Sheet.

Aster Friendship Card

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  We are having lovely fall weather here.  How about you? I have a friendship card to share with you today.

I first colored the September Aster stamp with markers.  I cut it out with scissors.  I put this over top of a pastel vellum circle and then popped it up over the card front.  The background paper is actually one I made using the Faux Linen technique.  It is hard to see the texture in the photo, but you first sand glossy paper in both directions and then just add ink over top.

On the inside, I stamped the same image again in light tan ink, and stamped my message from Inspirational Plate #2 over top.  I know just the friend I want to send this to! (As always, save 10% off your order at the I Brake for Stamps store by using my code SAVE10HEIDI.)

Halloween Sky

Hello!  Happy October!  I am not very into Halloween, but I do like to give out candy to trick or treaters. I don’t feel as safe doing that this year, so I wanted to send out cards and maybe a little candy money to some of the special kids in my life.

I used an all-purpose Trees Background stamp here and made it Halloween by using those colors in the sky.  I first punched a circle from masking paper, then sponged my inks on the paper till I got the blend I wanted.  I removed that mask to reveal a moon, and then stamped over top with the Tree stamp.  The sentiment was created with dies.

I have previously used this stamp with blues to create a wintery sky.  As always, save 10% on your entire order at the I Brake for Stamps store using my code SAVE10HEIDI.
