Stenciled Sympathy

Thanks for your visit today.  I made two of these sympathy cards, as I had a need for them.

I simply stenciled over the left side of my card panel and then stamped the silhouette over top.  I then coordinated the inside of the card by just using a lighter touch over my stencil, and stamping my favorite Sympathy sentiment.

These stamps can be purchased in the I Brake for Stamps store. The foxglove image is part of a new stamp set in the store, available as Unmounted rubber (with an attractive price), or it is also available separately.
Use my coupon code SAVE10HEIDI to save 10% off your entire order.

Supplies: Mostly Florals unmounted stamp sheet, Foxglove Silhouette stamp, Memories Comfort You sentiment, Quarter Sheet Dahlia (outside sentiment), Recollections stencil, Distress ink in Broken China and Mowed Lawn, Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Thanks for visiting today!  I hope my readers in the USA have a Blessed Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Happy Trails Card - Wrap Around Card

I don’t know where the week went, but here we are at Friday!  I hope everyone had a good week. I am happy to report that my dental issues are finally resolved as of yesterday!  Just in time for Turkey?

I have a card to share today that I made a while back but didn’t get to sharing yet.  This was inspired by a wrap card made by Karen Dunbrook.  You should follow her, if you don’t already.  Every card she makes is beautiful!

Basically, you just create a wrap for your card that goes onto the back. I like how it is something different, and finishing the back makes it feel more complete.

I created my wrap by first sponging two Distress Oxide brown inks as an ombré. I then stamped the woodgrain over top.  The camper was partly colored and partly paper-pieced.  I added clear Nuvo Drops to the windows, but unfortunately, that cracked as it dried, so I guess my camper is a little run-down.

If you create a wrap card, I would highly suggest using your lightest weight cardstock for the wrap part so that your card can still open and close easily.  It would be easy enough to use lightweight patterned paper too.

Supplies: Close to My Heart Happy Trails stamp set, Hero Arts Woodgrain background stamp, Distress Oxide ink Vintage Photo and Antique Linen, Memento and Versafine black inks, other items from my stash.

Thanks for visiting! Will you have time for stamping this weekend, or are you too busy preparing for the holiday?

Christmas One-Sheet Wonder: Part 3

Hello!  I am sharing the last 4 cards in the 12x12 One Sheet Wonder I have worked on.
The template is here, and here are the links for Part 1 and Part 2.

You might notice that the template calls for 11 cards, and I came up with 12.  I didn’t like two of the layouts for the plaid paper I chose, so I went ahead and did my own thing.

Also, as soon as I made one card using kraft paper, I wished I could go back and make all the cards with kraft paper. It wasn’t my first instinct, but it really works so well!

Supplies:  Stamps: Elle’s Studio Cheers, Close to My Heart ‘Tis The Season, Stampers Anonymous Holiday Magic, Gina K Designs Christmas Magic stamp and die set; Inks: Versafine Onyx Black, Hero Arts Royal Red and Forever Green; Papers: Recollections Christmas Plaid 12x12, others from my stash; Dies: Gina Marie Wonky Stitch Ovals, EK Success Snowflake punch; Darice Embossing folder.

Do you have a favorite card? I think mine is the last one, although I was proud of using a hashtag sentiment in the first card. I had never used that stamp before and thought it would be good for some young adults.

I would like to enter Cute Card Thursday’s Festive challenge, WordArtWednesday’s Anything Goes Challenge, and Your Next Stamp’s Mad for Plaid challenge.

Christmas One-Sheet Wonder: Part 2

Hello and I hope everyone had a good weekend.  Yesterday was supposed to be “Take a Hike” day so we did take a short hike in the afternoon, even though it was pretty cold!

Here is the second installment of cards for my Christmas One-Sheet Wonder.  If you need a refresher, the  template I used is HERE.  And here are links to the other cards: Part 1.  I will have Part 3 up tomorrow!

I really like the ski chalet image!

The paper I used is foiled and is always a bit tricky to photograph, but I love using it on holiday cards.  I didn’t even use all the images in the stamp set yet, so I look forward to making more cards with this set.

Supplies: I Brake for Stamps Small Christmas Sheet  (This is a NEW set offered a very attractive price right now as an unmounted sheet),  Christmas Tree quarter sheet set, Hero Arts Red Royal ink, Gina K Christmas Pine ink, Versafine Black ink, Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangles dies, Gina Marie Wonky Stitched Oval dies, Recollections Christmas Plaid 12x12 paper, other items from my stash.

Christmas One-Sheet Wonder - Part 1 (Pin It? Try It! Week 9)

Hello!  I realized that, in just a few weeks, it is time to send out Christmas cards!  Even though I already have some I made throughout the year, I am quite short.  I decided to use a One-Sheet Wonder template to make a bunch of cards.

Usually, people use a very simple sentiment stamp when doing a One-Sheet Wonder, but that isn’t my style.  I like to use colored images and I also like to jazz up the card layouts a little.  So I have already cut my piece of 12 x 12 paper via this layout.  (And yes, this is a Pinned It? Try It! Week 9 Post too.)

But, I am taking a little more time to complete my cards so I can put my own twist on them. Here is the first set using some CUTE images from Penny Black.

And, yes, I am lamenting a little that I picked the foiled paper.  But it is so pretty, in real life, even if it is so hard to photograph!

Supplies: Penny Black Jolly Friends, Simon Says Stamps Peaceful Christmas stamp set, Elizabeth Crafts Holiday Cheer stamp set, Memento and Versafine black inks, Recollections Christmas Plaid paper pack, Gina Marie Wonky Stitched Ovals dies, Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies.

I would love to enter these cards in Cute Card Thursday’s Festive challenge, The Daily Marker’s 30 Day coloring challenge and WordArtWednesdsay’s Anything Goes challenge.

Thank you for visiting today!  I’ll be back again soon!

Cute Critter Thank You Notes

Hello, hope you are well!  We have wintery weather today, but it is sunny.

As promised, I stamped up a few more of the images from the Mostly Mice stamp set, which is one of the newest sets in the store, sold as an unmounted sheet.  I decided to start on a card set to give as a gift, to a music teacher.  I know that at the holiday, she will be getting a lot of teacher gifts and may need some thank you notes.

I colored the images with alcohol markers.  For the first card, I made it look as if the critters were looking over a wall of patterned paper.  I stamped the Thank You from this Sentiment set onto yellow cardstock and trimmed it out.

The second card uses two of the images.  The little student mouse fits just right under the teacher bunny, but they are two separate images.  These are so sweet and fun to color.

As always, you can save 10% off this and your entire stamp order at the I Brake for Stamps store using my code SAVE10HEIDI.

Thanks for visiting!  Happy Stamping!

I would love to enter SimonSaysStamp’s Monday Challenge - Thanks/Thanksgiving, The Daily Marker’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge, Pixie’s Crafty Workshop’s Snippets Challenge (all my patterned and colored cardstock was scraps) and Cute Card Thursday’s Anything Goes challenge.

Slothie Coffee Card

I am squeezing one more coffee card into the mix for the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop today!  After this, I am going to do my best to finish commenting on them, but there are over 1000 entries this time! WOW!

I colored my CUTE sloth-in-a-mug and then trimmed it out to pop up over my patterned paper. A sentiment and a few enamel dots finish off my clean and simple card.  I don’t always do clean and simple, but it really is fun to do.

Supplies: Art Impressions Sloth-Some stamp set, Memento and Versafine black inks, paper is a scrap and I don’t know which pad it was, Recollections enamel dots, Frantic Stamper Stitched Edge dies.

Thank you for visiting!  I hope I will see you again soon!

Better Latte Than Never! - Coffee Cards

Hello!  Hope you have had a nice week.  I, unfortunately continue to have some dental problems.  My first crown didn’t fit right, and they couldn’t adjust it because 3 shots of the numbing stuff didn’t work.  So they sent it out again. So the moral of the story is, brush and floss and do everything you can to avoid having dental work!  Lol.

I do have another card for the Coffee Blog hop.

Supplies: Gina K Designs Coffee Therapy, Just for Fun Rubber Stamps coffee ring and sentiment, Versafine Black ink, Gina K Tranquil Teal and Tangerine inks, Gina K Tranquil Teal cardstock, Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die, Copper Nuvo drops

Thanks for visiting!  If you are a new visitor on the Hop, please leave a comment to let me know you were here. I would also LOVE it if you would choose to subscribe to my blog.  I always do my best to visit your blog, as long as I can find you.

Happy Stamping!

Mostly Mice Tea Thank You Note

When I saw this new set called Mostly Mice, I knew I had to have it!  It is full of wonderful images, and I know children will like them, but in all honesty, I think I know plenty of adults who are going to love them too!

This little teapot image is so easy to color.  I then just die cut it and used a Mojo Monday sketch and patterned paper to create this pretty Thank You note.

I will definitely be using more of these stamps in the near future!

Supplies: I Brake for Stamps, Mostly Mice stamp set (currently being sold as an unmounted sheet), The sentiment is from Florals Sheet, Memento Black ink, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, My Mind’s Eye Darling Deer 6x6 paper pad, Gina Marie X Stitched circle dies, other items from my stash
SAVE 10% on these stamps and your entire order at the I Brake for Stamps Store using my coupon code SAVE10HEIDI

I would love to enter this in the Fall and Winter Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop and Mojo Monday!

Pumpkin Spice Coffee Card

Hello and Happy Saturday!  This card has been in my brain for a few weeks and this morning I finally had a chance to make it a reality.

I used several different stamp companies to get this design.  The coffee cup was stamped on a Distress Oxide Antique Linen background.  I then stamped a tiny pumpkin over top and colored it.  The Pumpkin was stamped with orange ink on some yellow cardstock and then I added the sentiment over top.

I had some scraps of gold and green cardstock in my box, so I die cut some leaves from it and then arranged it all over my stamped woodgrain background.  All the green cardstock was sponged with some gold ink.

I am really happy with this card and I hope the photo shows the pretty gold details.

Supplies: Just for Fun Stamptangle pumpkin and coffee cup, Hero Arts Woodgrain Background Stamp, Penny Black Spice of Life stamp set, Inkadinkado Creepy Lane stamp set, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Gina K Dark Chocolate and Tangerine inks, Spellbinders Leaves dies, Sizzix Embossing folder, Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink.

Thank you for visiting today!  If you are new, I sure hope you will leave a comment so I know you were here.  And please consider subscribing!  I always do my best to visit and see what you are making too.  Have a great weekend!

Coffee & Tea Lover’s Blog Hop! Day 1: Christmas Tea

Hello!  If you don’t know, today is the start of two special blog events.  The Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop (which totally includes tea and cocoa) and The 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

I have a very unique Christmas image to share with you today. This sweet image is called Christmas Tea.  I think it is so pretty and I know several tea-drinkers who would love to receive it.  And I have a coupon code for it (and more) below!

I added color first with markers and then I added some shading with colored pencils.  Those pencils fit in the tiny spaces very easily.  I then dressed up the image with some glitter glue and glitter pen.

The last step is fussy, but worth it. I cut a mask of the main image so that I could sponge some light blue distress ink around the image. I think that really makes the tea pot and the doily stand out more and just look more elegant.

Supplies: I Brake for Stamps Christmas Tea stamp set, Memento black ink, Gina Marie Wonky Stitched Oval dies, Gina K Designs Red Hot cardstock, other items from my stash.
Save 10% off your entire stamp order at I Brake for Stamps  with code SAVE10HEIDI
Also check out special introductory prices on new release stamps, and great prices on overstocks!

I would also like to enter Double Trouble In Stitches Challenge, where I think I did both the stitches and the caffeinated prompts.

Thank you for your visit today!  Are you a coffee or tea drinker? I drink coffee every morning, but when the weather gets cold, I am very well known for drinking a cup of tea in the afternoon to warm up!
