Little Creature’s Christmas Tree

Hello friends!  I have been absent from blogging quite a bit this past week.  It is mostly the normal fall busy-ness, but also my son was ill and I had to have some dental work done.  Unfortunately, I can see that there is still going to be a lot of activities in the next week.  But, today is a rainy, dull day, and I think I can get more cards made today.

The first card I made was this Christmas card!

I colored the stamp with alcohol markers.  I started with all the details in the Christmas tree. There are carrots, grapes, pinecones, and more, decorating this woodland tree!  How cute are all the little animals.  I then added Wink of Stella, glitter glue, white gel pen and glossy accents to the details.  It looks like it would take a long time to color but it really didn’t.

I masked off the snowy portion of the image, and the edges, and then sponged blue ink for my sky.  It looks like it took a long time to color, but it really didn’t .

I matted the image over some pretty plaid paper, using ribbon and a snowflake button to add even more Christmas cheer!

Supplies: I Brake for Stamps Little Creatures Christmas, Memento Black ink, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, Nuvo Drops blizzard, Wink of Stella pen, Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangles dies, Heidi Swapp Christmas paper pad, other items from my stash.

Hope you have a wonderful day! I would love to know if you have started your holiday cards yet?

This is such a cute card!! I really can't believe it didn't take a long time to color; there are so many small images! At any rate, it looks great!

I have not really done too many Christmas cards yet. Yikes!!

I hope your son is feeling better soon and that your dental issues are all ok now.

Oh Heidi, I'm sorry your little one has been ill - that's always hard on a mama! And then your dental work on top of that - lots of hugs!
Your card is a vision! It's a breathtaking scene and I just adore all those little critters! Love your paper choice, too - these are the types of holiday cards that makes some smile! Bravo!

I hope your son is well now and your mouth is healed, Heidi. I know making this card was a soothing balm for you - it's delightful! Such a sweet image and your coloring beings it alive. Diagonal plaids always make me smile, as does matching reds which you did well. Hope you can find art time to help you through another busy week. xox
