Merry Christmas Bird Houses!

Hello! It has been so dreary recently, in my neck of the woods.  This morning we have a tiny covering of snow outside, but the streets were clear.  I was worried it would be too dark to photograph my card, but I think it turned out okay.

I’ve noticed that some of you are crafting and posting, at a usual rate. While I have really slowed down. I find that I actually craft more right around Christmas, than the beginning of the month.  We will see if that pans out this year, as well.

I made a card this morning with a charming stamp that takes up the whole card front.  This makes Christmas cards easier, as I just needed to add some matting to finish off the card.

I colored the image, Merry Christmas Bird Houses, with alcohol markers, and then I added the details and shading with colored pencils. I find that this helps speed up the coloring process.

As always, you can save 10% off this stamp, and your whole stamp order at I Brake for Stamps using my code SAVE10HEIDI.

Thank you for visiting and have a crafty day!

What a gorgeous image here Heidi! Beautiful colorin and love the stamped background as well! It's snowy over my way too! I'm still trying to "get in gear" in sending out my cards...sometimes I get a bit late in doing that! LOL! I sometimes get more motivated AFTER Christmas is over with. I don't know why?! LOL!

Beautiful coloring! I never think to mix markers and colored pencils, but it looks great! I love the bright colors you used on the white; it's such a cheery card. And the black and red mat and base finish it off perfectly!
Like you, I go through periods where I am very productive in my craft room and then I go through periods where I just can't seem to find my mojo. Unfortunately, that seems to be where I am now. Hope it's a fast-moving phase and I find it soon!

Beautiful, lovely coloring, I still haven't tried adding shading with pencils yet, you did a wonderful job with it. That is nice that all you had to add was a matting for it!

The birdhouses look so cute and fun with the Christmas banner hanging in front of them. Super cute card with some amazing coloring too! I've slowed down because I'm on a serious learning curve with a new PC and need to find some photo editing software soon! LOL

Beautifully colored, Heidi. We got just a touch of snow on the tree branches. I think winter has arrived.

Cute card, Heidi, and beautifully colored. Ugh, I wish I hadn't slowed down but I did because I got sick and still not quite up to par. Worked all year on Christmas cards and still need to address and mail. I'm slowly getting the feeling my best-laid plans gonna fall to bits. Merry Christmas! haha oh well, hope your holidays plans are going smoothly! xoxo
