My Private Zoo - Non Traditional Anniversary Card

I would like to share this card that I am going to give to my husband for our anniversary.  I LOVE the image, so beautifully drawn!  But one of the sentiments in this set, “Our Private Zoo” struck me as a funny way to describe the often crazy times that a couple goes through with marriage and parenting and even pets.  I think DH is going to get a kick out if it! (As an aside, he always gets me a super sappy card, but knows that I have a weird sense of humor!)

The background was easily accomplished with a Multi color Kaleidacolor Inkpad in Creole Spice brayered over glossy cardstock.  I love the way glossy cardstock looks but every time I forget that it is harder to photograph!  I think I got it okay this time.  I stamped the GORGEOUS safari scene over top with Archival Ink and then just added the sentiment.  There was no need to overdo this card, I think it is perfect in its simple form.

This stamp set is called Wildlife Rubber Stamp set and it can be found in the Blank Page Muse store.  You can always use my affiliate code BPMHeidi to save 15% off your order there and at the I Brake for Stamps store!

Giraffes - Non-Traditional Baby Card

Hello!  I just received this wonderful set of stamps called Half Sheet 138B and I had to immediately use the wonderful giraffe images.

I started by stenciling over some yellow textured cardstock with Distress Oxide inks. I used Fired Brick in the center, and then blended out with Carved Pumpkin and finally Fossilized Amber on the outside.

I think this detail photo shows how pretty it turned out!

I then used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink to stamp the images right over top.  Since I was stamping on textured cardstock, I used my stamping platform to stamp twice.  After die cutting the panel, I added this sweet sentiment. I think I am going to use this for non-traditional a baby card.

Here is the entire stamp set. I can’t wait to use the other images!  If you place an order with I Brake for Stamps, use my coupon code SAVE10HEIDI to save 10% on your entire order.

Loveable Panda Card - What’s Up?

Hello everyone!  Hope you are having an enjoyable day.  Today I would like to share this cute panda card.

I colored this with alcohol markers and then masked the panda, and sponged over the background with Tumbled Glass distress ink.  I did emphasize the eyes just a touch with a white gel pen.

I found this sentiment in my stash that fit just right between the trees.  I think it turned out cute.  ðŸ˜ƒ

Supplies: Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Loveable Panda, Sentiment from Power Poppy Short Stacks stamp set, Memento and Versafine Black inks, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, Distress Ink Tumbled Glass, Recollections Grey Kraft Cardstock

I would love to enter this in SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge and WordArtWednesday’s Anything Goes challenge.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting!  As always, double thanks to my subscribers and those who take time to leave a comment.
