Three Marker Challenge

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I really appreciate your taking the time.

Today I have a big combo of challenges in one card.  I used a sketch, colored using only 3 markers, made a feminine card and used water in my project by both watercoloring, and having water in the image itself.  Sometimes challenges just come together like this and help make my choices for me.

I knew the 3 marker challenge would not be so easy since coloring is not my strength.  I stretched my markers a little by first watercoloring with a waterbrush and then, adding some deep shading directly with the marker just in the spots where the illustration seemed to indicate I should.  I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Supplies: Power Poppy Simply Camellias stamp set, Versafine Onyx black ink, Versamark Ink, Recollections White detail embossing powder, Ranger Distress watercolor paper, Gina K Designs cardstock in Navy and Ocean Mist, Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles, Tombow Markers, flowers from my stash

I would love to participate in the following challenges:

Hello Heidi: Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my Power Poppy cards, I'm having so much fun with this challenge, I think it's the thrill of picking the 3 markers at random or just limiting your choices to only 3 markers that really appeals to me a lot.
I adore Marcella's images, I've been her fan since her Flourishes days and now, she's still delighting us with her amazing talent and creativity.
Now, your card is beautiful, the flowers in this set are gorgeous and a joy to color.
I love that frame, thank you for sharing it's name and company.
And don't worry about the word verification photo, I actually enjoy playing, LOL!! Blogger sometimes does it to me too.
Hugs.
Maria Rodriguez.

Oh, precious Heidi, I love this image, and what a beautiful card you made with it! I love it and love the die too. And your coloring is lovely, especially with just THREE markers. I would really be stretched by that (so I should really try it - haha!). I am so glad you've entered this challenge, and I am also so blessed that we got to meet on SCS...and to think you were a "newbie" back when. You are a treasure both here on your blog and on SCS, Heidi. Sending hugs! xoxo
