Vintage Sports Theme Birthday Cards

When I was thinking about what I wanted to do for my design team post for CraftyHazenut's Patterned Paper challenge, I decided to browse through my paper pads. I found a couple 8x8 pads in a drawer that I had nearly forgotten about.

This particular Graphic 45 pad, I won on a blog contest years ago.  I shouldn't have put it in the drawer because I don't think I had used it at all yet!  So, I decided to combine this with a couple sports stamp sets I have to make a few cards!

The vintage looking sports cards were all from a border from one of the stamp sheets.  I then stamped various balls, the Allstar saying, the football field and the cleats and cut them out.  I needed to color those and distress them with Antique Linen distress ink.

I am really happy with these cards as I know I will soon have uses for them for male family birthdays.  On the inside, I added the sentiment, "Have a Ball, It's Your day!

Supplies: Graphic 45 Good Ol' Sport paper pad, Unity Stamps Making the Team, Prima Stamps Allstar, Versafine Vintage Sepia, Olympia Green, Red and Toffee inks, Distress Wild Honey and Antique Linen

Thanks for stopping by!
