Hello everyone! Hope you are having a good Wednesday! We are getting snow today, but Easter is still on it’s way! And I am hoping to go to a stamp show this weekend!
I am coloring the Easter Egg Tree stamp with colored pencils today. I colored it once on white cardstock, and again on green! Since colored pencils give really good coverage on dark cardstock, so the colors do still pop. I added glitter Nuvo drops on the white version, and then Glossy Accents to the Green. (Just a note, I first tried the clear Nuvo drops for this, but they cracked as they dried, so I re-did the stamping and found Glossy Accents works better.) I like each version equally, but I like to mix things up.
I had fun pairing this image with springy patterned papers and cute sentiments. As you may know, I don’t have a die cutter at the moment, so I did what I could with just a paper cutter.
Supplies: Just for Fun Rubber Stamps Easter Egg Tree, Happy Easter Sentiment, Do I Smell Jelly Beans sentiment, Versafine Black Ink, American Crafts Everyday 6x6 paper pad, other items from my stash.
Have you ever been to a stamp show and sale? I have never seen one that seemed close enough to me to attend. BUT there is one this weekend in Oaks, PA, the Stamp, Scrap and Art Tour. JFF and other vendors will be there, and I hope to attend. Anyone else going to be there? Details can be found here.

Easter will be here soon! These are so bright and cheery. Love them!
Colourful, pretty cards and I didn't know that Nuvo would crack - I thought it was pretty much the same as Glossy Accents.
Thanks for the tip about the novo drops and the glossy accents. Gorgeous stamp and love the fun jelly bean sentiment x Colourful cards x
Love them both Heidi, and the gloss adds to the jelly bean feel.
These are so fantastic and colorful. I know I need to work on Easter cards too as that is not far off either. I love the Easter Egg Tree image.
What adorable Easter cards, Heidi!! The Easter Egg Tree image is fantastic, and I love the sentiments! I hope the weather cooperates so you can get to the show!
Love, love, love these two Easter cards. I especially like the green one on that gorgeous DP.
Oh Heidi these are just too cute, love the touch of the glossy accents on them and perfect spring papers to go with them!
Oh if you have never been you are going to love it, well at least the one that comes to our area has a lot of Vendors and I usually find stamps that I don't see anywhere else, ours can be quite busy, sometimes hard to get to the booths, very crowded but it is fun. I always take along my own big canvas bag to hold my goodies so you don't have to worry about losing a bunch of the bags they give you.
well I'll be darned! You do live close to me, because I might be going to that show too! Hah! I really like these cute trees with easter eggs and how you colored them! The dsp's are both fun and cheery and then there's that jelly bean sentiment!!! NJ on both!
Carol L, that would be neat to see another blogger there. I am afraid it might be crazy! We shall see!
