Dahlia Floral Card - Clean and Simple

Hello!!!  I would like to share a clean and simple card idea with you today.

I wanted to use this very large Dahlia stamp.  It is so pretty and really makes a statement!  I stamped it over a watercolored background I had made.  I tend to make several of these  watercolor backgrounds at one time, and then I have them on hand.  I fussy cut out the flower.

Next, I simply stamped the same flower twice on my card panel. I just eyeballed where the middle was and stamped in Pool ink on both halves. The sentiment is one of three from the same stamp set, and it says “Simply Enjoy it All.”  A fun sentiment and I don’t have anything else like it in my collection.  I popped my watercolor flower up on foam adhesive.

Supplies: I Brake for Stamps Quarter Sheet Dahlia, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Hero Arts Soft Pool ink, Koi pan watercolors, watercolor paper, Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangles dies.
Please use code SAVE10HEIDI to save 10% off your entire order at the I Brake for Stamps store.

I would like to enter this card into Die Cut Diva’s Flowers all Year Round challenge, and CASology’s Turquoise Challenge.

Thanks for visiting today!!

Wow. Such a beauty. Love the pale blue and white bg against the big pop of blue in your flowers. Awesome work.

the watercolor background makes for a very pretty flower, and the flower also makes a great pattern for the background also!

Great idea to use the pre-painted paper for your stamped and cut out image. And I like how you used the same large image for your background. It ties it all together beautifully!

I didn't even realize at first that your background was the flower until I read how you created your card. There's depth without the background taking over. What a beauty. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas
