Freddie the Frog with a Bad Memory

Hello! I hope you are well today!  I have a fun card to share that is actually a mix of a digi image and a rubber stamp. I have a certain friend in mind for this card, I will use it for his birthday.

I used the digital version of the Trampoline Freddie stamp (but it is available in rubber, too) and colored it with markers.  I then die cut it out and framed it with navy cardstock.  The background was made by scribbling water-based markers onto watercolor paper, spritzing liberally with water, then adding chunky pretzel salt onto the piece and letting it dry.  It created this cool pattern!

Here is a photo of the entire panel. I actually made this months ago but couldn’t bring myself to use it for a while since I liked it so well!

Supplies: I Brake for Stamps Trampoline Freddie (digi) (Also available as rubber Trampoline Freddie (rubber) and in a stamp set Freddie, Mice and More rubber sheet), Bad Memory Sentiment stamp, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, Versafine Majestic Blue ink, Background uses watercolor paper and Tombow water-based markers, Love Nicole brand sugar dots. Gina k/Thermoweb Double Stitched Rectangle die set.

Forget-Me-Not Heart Card

Hello stamping friends!  I can already tell that August is going to be a low production card-making month for me.  There is so much to do outside and we need to make the most of the end of summer.  On the flip side, I also am low on cards to send!  Maybe I will be able to prove myself wrong.  Is this a slow period for you too?

I made this card using a mix of a digi image and a clear stamp.  I colored the image with a few alcohol markers, then just added a die cut frame and some colored cardstocks to bring out the flowers.  I love forget-me-nots and wish I had some in my garden. They are so cheery.

Supplies: Power Poppy Forget Me Not Heart digi, Sunny Harvest stamp set, Versafine black ink, Gina Marie Loopy rectangle die, cardstocks all from my scrap box.

I would love to play with Power Poppy's Mix and Match challenge, and Pixie's Snippets Playground.

Thanks for visiting my blog!  I know your time is important and appreciate your visit and comments!

Fun Dragon Kid's Card

I recently was lucky enough to win some digi stamps from Bugaboo.  I haven't used a lot of digi stamps in the past, but I took the opportunity to get some that would be great for kids, since I really think they excel at those types of images.

I printed this guy out on some kraft paper and colored him with inktense pencils.  I recently got a few new colors of pencils so I have more to work with.  I did blend out with a tiny bit of water, but I am not sure how much that did on kraft paper.  I definitely could use more practice with my pencils, but I liked how it turned out.   I used a stamp from a clear set for the sentiment.

Supplies: Bugaboo Clyde birthday digi, Casual Fridays In the Cards stamp set, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Crate Paper Party Day 6x6 paper pad, Avery Elle Wonky Rectangles die set, Derwent Inktense pencils

Beautiful Christmas Wreath Cards with digi stamps

(ETA: I was so flattered to see my card featured at the Power Poppy blog's Holiday on Parade post! Thank you so much!)

Hello and I hope your week is off to a good start.  The forecast called for snow last night, but I woke up this morning to just a little rain, so I think that is a blessing for a Monday morning.  I am not nearly ready for Christmas, but there is still a lot of time.

I don't know if you saw my last post, but you may have seen a hint in one of the photos that I had colored up more images, too!  Well, I am sharing two more cards today.

I colored both digi images with alcohol markers.  My marker collection is growing, but I still have a limited range of colors. I like these small images because just one lighter and one darker color is quite enough to get some pretty shading.

Again, my paper pad is one of my oldest and most favorite Christmas ones!  I only have a few sheets left.  I have other Christmas paper pads, but none seem as versatile as this one.  I think what I like about this one is that it has so many tiny prints that go with everything.

With CAS cards, I did want to pop up the focal images to create more dimension.

Supplies: Power Poppy Felt Boxwood and Cranberry, Succulents and Baubles Digi stamps, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, My Mind's Eye Christmas Wish 6x6 Paper pad, Sakura Stardust Gel pen, Spellbinders circle dies, MFT Die Namics pierced square dies,  embellishments from my stash.

I added some glittler pen to the highlights in the ornaments.  I do really love how Marcella added that detail so it is easy to color.

Thanks for coming by! I really need to start writing out and addressing some of these Christmas cards and getting them out the door!  How about you?

Masculine & Feminine Christmas Wreath with Digi Stamps

Hello! Today I have two cards to share, one is a more masculine version, and the second is feminine colors.  Both were made with the same Digi Stamp I got from Power Poppy.  I have only used Digi Stamps a handful of times, but these were so pretty, I couldn't pass them up.

I used traditional christmas colors, plaid papers and some old wood veneer embellishments to add to the masculine feel.  I did use plain version of the digi stamp and added my own sentiment with a stamp.

For both cards I used my alcohol markers to color it in.  I colored the images one day and then put them together into cards the next.  The paper pad is one of my favorites and it is almost gone!

The next card, I wanted to use pinker colors and a more teal color for the leaves. I really like the way it turned out.  For both cards, I did pop up the focal image with foam tape to give the cards more dimension.

I added some glitter gel pen to this one.  It is pretty!

Supplies: Power Poppy Felt Leaves and Fruits Digi stamp, Kaisercraft Christmas Sentiments stamp set, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, My Mind's Eye Christmas Wish 6x6 Paper pad, Sakura Stardust Gel pen, embellishments from my stash.
