Paper Tole and Watercolor Embossed Background

Updated: I was so pleased that this card was chosen as a Top 3 card at ModSquad Challenge blog!  Thank you!

The embossed panel was created using the Watercolor Dry Embossing technique as part of a Winterfest 2015 Challenge.  Usually, this is done with an image type embossing folder, but I wanted to try it with my tiled folder. I think it is pretty.

The flower was stamped three times as per the Paper Tole technique, colored with purple and blue metallic cream chalks and cut in various sizes.  This is the first time I have tried it! I love the look!  I used Glue Dots new clear pop up dots so they are pretty invisible from the side.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies:

GKD Birthday Essentials Stamp TV kit (flower image and blue card base)

Memento Black ink
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

This card is just stunning. I love your color choices, that watercolor embossing technique, and most of all the paper tole technique. You have nailed it perfectly, my dear. Great take on the challenge, thanks so much for playing along with us this week at the Mod Squad!

I love the watercolor dry embossing technique. I didn't think of using glue dots to raise parts of the image. Great idea!
