Rose for Father's Day

Hello!   I have often wondered why florals are for women only. I think men like flowers just as much, and that is why sometimes I use my flower stamps for masculine cards.

I recently have gotten a few sets of the Spectrum Noir markers and that is what I used to color this rose. I am not very good at this type of coloring, but it is pretty fast!  (The yellow isn't quite as bright in real life, I often have that issue photographing yellow, does anyone know why?) I added score lines around the image to frame it.

Supplies:  Gina K Stately Flowers 6, Memento Jet Black ink, alcohol markers and patterned paper from my stash

I would love to participate in the following challenges:

This is such a gorgeous card, and I love the colors and simple design! I agree - men enjoy flowers as much as women do, so go for it!

Ah, Heidi, and I love the flower for Father's Dad and know your dad will to and especially love the sentiment! I love the score lines and never remember to do it. But it's a nice touch. Not sure about photographing yellow, since I can't remember when I've done something yellow. Somehow it's not one of my "go-to" colors. But it's beautiful! Hugs, sweet friend!

What a Wonderful idea..Thinking about it I'm sure flowers would be appreciated for masculine cards. As many men garden as ladies.
FABulous colours and design. Your score lines are perfect.

I know what you mean I hardly ever use flowers for guy cards but my hubby likes photographing them, so why not :) Your coloring is fantastic, especially the leaves, I do not know why yellow is a pain to photograph.
