Star Ornament Card

I have a Christmas card to share today.  The background was easy and fast, I just did direct to paper - swiping three inkpads across the debossed side of cardstock that I embossed.

Since there was a lot of interest in the background, I did some simple heat embossing on colored cardstock.  Although you have to fussy cut these out, this card did not take very long and would be suitable for making multiples.

Supplies: Just for Fun Rubber Stamps Stamptangle Star, large and small, Sentiment Sheet 3, Versamark ink, Recollections Detail White embossing powder, Darice Ornamental Star Embossing Folder,  Distress inks Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass and Blueprint Sketch, cardstocks and gems from my stash

Wowza, absolutely stunning Heidi. I love the swipping of the inks on your background. I have a Christmas stamp set on my desk and was pondering where to do Christmas so early, but here you are doing one--LOL. I guess Christmas is never too early. Beautiful, beautiful card.

Your card has a very hip look with the swooshing of the ink pads across the embossed paper and those beautiful tangled stars!

Love your card! The background you created is incredible and looks really complicated, I can't believe it was just 'swiping' on the debossing, WOW!

Love the colors and that background is quite striking. I think it would be hard to cover it up but you did it well--not too much, not too little.
