Birdie Love

Happy Friday!  As you will see from my photos, it has been dreary today!  However, it is warm.   How is your weather?

I have been continuing to color away!  I was lucky to win the prize in Power Poppy’s challenge for January, and let me tell you, it didn’t take me long to place my order! (And they came fast, too!)  I almost always feel like their stamps are easy to color.  So I did enjoy myself coloring this sweet little bird.

I used more of my new marker colors.  I liked this look and paired it with this Hero Arts background that looks similar to the little berries in the wreath.  I added sparkle to the berries and shine with these cute butterfly stickers that a stamping friend gave me.

I did have the aid of a sketch for this card!  I can be indecisive about arranging cards, so using a sketch saves loads of time.

Supplies: Power Poppy Folk Heart and Natural Beauties stamp sets, Hero Arts Berries background stamp, Memento Black Ink, Gina K Designs Applemint ink, spectrum noir alcohol markers.

I would love to play along with these challenges that helped inspire this card.

Oh, sweet Heidi, I am behind in my commenting, but I was thrilled to see that you won Power Poppy's January challenge! Yay, and what a beautiful set you purchased. I love this sweet little bird in the floral heart, and your colors are beautiful. I love the sketch (I struggle with layouts too, and this is a wonderful sketch. I love the Hero Arts background, and those sweet little butterflies are darling. Beautifully done and a perfect card to send a sweet note! We are having gorgeous weather here, but you don't want to know that, right? ;) Wishing you a beautiful weekend, sweet friend!! Hugs!
