Did you know that Gladiolus is one of August’s birth flowers? This is a wonderful flower comes in so many colors. I often will look at images of flowers on the internet before I color my stamped image, and for this one, I found out I could have used almost any color.
However, I went with a peachy orange color. This was my absolute favorite color when I was a little girl. I colored the stamens of the flowers with a fine tipped marker in magenta, so they stood out a little more, and added just a touch of white gel pen.
My stamp is the Jumbo Version of August Gladiolus, but if your prefer that your stamp not take up the entire card front, there is a smaller version available too.
Supplies: I Brake for Stamps August Gladiolus, Sentiment from Florals Sheet, Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangles, American Crafts Twine, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Save 10% on your order at I Brake for Stamps with my code SAVE10HEIDI.

Gladiolus are some of my favorites (but then I pretty much like ALL flowers!). I have two groups of them in my flower beds in bright colors.
Love the pretty card you created with the soft colors, bit of string, and that cute tag!
This is sooo gorgeous Heidi!I love the way you coloured your flowers too.No I didn't know the Gladioli was one of the flowers for August either (my birthday is in August too so I should have known);) Viv xx
You colored your glads so nicely, Heidi. They are spectacular flowers, I love seeing them in gardens....they are too splendid for bouquets.
I love gladiolas and I love your beautiful card. I have peach and yellow ones and red ones in my vases in the house at the moment. I think they are very striking flowers...love them x.
What a gorgeous floral image and I just love it with the peachy color! The wrapped around circle tag finishes it off beautifully! HUGS
Wonderful spray of glads and I always thought they were the most beautiful flowers. Still do and wish I had more then one left blooms. It apparently was close enough to the foundation of the house that it weathered over winter every year so it comes back to grace us with it's beauty. It is a yellow one.
Beautiful job coloring them, I do love that shade too, like how you attached the tag too!
So very pretty. The yellow is a nice colour to go with. Since my birthday is in August, I did know it was the flower of the month. Your twine with the attached tag is a fun addition to your card.
The "glads" look so pretty with your great coloring and simple yet effective design! NJ!
I love how you've presented this with the twine and the tag.
Love your Glads and the color that you chose to color them. Beautiful card! I enjoy your flower series.
