Flamingo with Brushos!

Hello all!  I am trying out the new blogger platform.  Let’s see if I can publish a post.  I can see it is going to take some time to get used to!  (Also, it caused my browser to crashed several times while trying to write a simple post. I sure hope they get it fixed!)

I created this flamingo card last night.  I had made several Brusho backgrounds and I just loved how the colbalt turned out.  So I decided to simply stamp over top with the flamingos and then paper piece them with a scrap of patterned paper. I used an orange marker to color their legs.

Stamps: Just for Fun Rubber Stamps, sentiment Power Poppy Sunny Days.

I would like to enter WordArtWednesday’s Anything Goes challenge, and Pixie’s Crafty Workshop’s Snippets Challenge.

Thanks for visiting! I hope you have a really good weekend.

Heidi, I adore this!! I saw this over on SCS late last night and now I'm seeing it here and just WOWZA! This is super dreamy and you've showcased the brushos so well and of course, those darling Florida Flamingos!

The Cobalt blue brusho is one of my favorite colors. I like how you paper pieced the flamingos. Nice card. [Bunny]

Truly stunning, Heidi. I love your Blue Burst Background, and those lovely paper-pieced flamingos.

I'm so sorry for neglecting your blog. Checked my spam today and was totally blown away with the amount of "non spam" was in my spam folder. I thought you just weren't posting.

Have a nice weekend. I'm working, but it is so nice and quiet on the phones on weekends, that I get a lot of colouring done.

Bummer you had problems trying to use the new blogger, thankfully the only problem I had is I couldn't figure out how to make my picture bigger but that seemed to work ok because the size that was on my blog is ok with me.
I love your background, great idea to do paper piecing so you could keep the card flat and not try to color in that area!

HEIDIIII!! I think I'm back now and have missed commenting so much. I have definitely found the Techniques Hook-Up here, tho. Wonderful! First, you are so brave to do the new blogger. I will be switching at the last minute kicking and being drug, LOL. Second, you paper-piece so well, I need serious practice but it is such a cool way to stamp over backgrounds and not have to cut masks. Well, onto my travels, so thankful you kept in touch and glad to be back stalking you!!! Later! HUGS XOX

Amazing card Heidi - love the background - why do my Brushos always look like a puddle of mud? Sigh. And your paper piecing of those glorious fa flamingoes is so clever! Love it!

Your paper-piecing looks great and I love the contrast of colours. I've had Blogger trouble all weekend and I wasn't even using the new Blogger!
